Expopage is a finalist for the UFI ICT Award 2008

Fiera Milano Expopage has achieved second place at the ICT Award contest organised by UFI, the international association of the main trade fair organisations. The theme of the competition is "Best web applications for visitors".

Expopage, the web company of Fiera Milano, is ranked in second place in the ICT Award 2008 contest promoted by UFI, the international association which brings together the main trade fair organisers and entities.

The contest, on the theme of “Best web applications for visitors”, has the objective of rewarding the best web-based solutions able to bring concrete benefits to visitors before, during and after a trade fair event.

The prize-giving for the three finalists took place on Wednesday 3 December at Brno, Czech Republic, during the ICT Focus Meeting 2008, where Mr Ettore Galasso, ICT Director of Expopage, presented the projects delivered and took away the prize.

In summary, the following web-based services were presented at the contest:

• Systems of online pre-registration for trade fair organisers


• Online services for visitors: electronic catalogue of exhibitors, creation of visit route and management of trade fair appointments


• Opportunity Network, the first social network in the trade fair business


• E-mail and web marketing services for companies


• Sector file, market research and commercial information

The finalists in the ICT Award 2008 contest were:

• 1° ranked: VNU Exhibitions - Holland


• 2° ranked: Fiera Milano Expopage - Italy


• 3° ranked: Messe München - Germany
