Siapi is specialized in the production of grinding wheels. We produce vitrified bonded wheels, resin bonded wheels, urethane bonded wheels and rubber bonded wheels. The above mentioned wheels are employed on centreless grinding machines to grind bearings, bars, shafts, piston pins, steering racks and other workpieces. We also produce rubber bonded regulating wheels We produce cup wheels, peripheral wheels, sticks, slabs and mounted point wheels employed to polish different types of steels .

Siapi offer rubber-cork bonded wheels, they are suitable for centreless roughing, finishing and superfinishing grinding operations. Our roughing wheels are able to remove 0,3 mm granting a very good finish degree. In the softest specification , where there is a highe concentration of cork, the wheel is able to lower the peaks left by the previous grinding operation without changing the the workpiece dimension or shape .

The wheel is able to grant Ra 0,35 to Ra 0,01 . The combination of rubber and cork is able to grant an easy employement and a long life that to the peculiarity of the 2 materials . Rubber , with it ‘s bonding capacity is able to grant good resilient capacities and allows the selfdressing action , whilst cork has excellent polishing capacities and helps the selfdressing action . Siapi wheel is particularly versatile for grinding applications of hardened steel and not , aluminium, stainless steel hardened and not , chrome , glass and ceramic layers.

Siapi can supply a wide range of wheels: vitrified, resin or rubber bonded, for centerless, surfacing, round and bore grinding operations. Every wheel size and form can be obtained. We usually employ standard abrasive grains. We co-operate with research centres for developing the applications of new abrasives and bonds.
